What To Expect From Your Round At Castro Marim Golf Course
Not Your Typical 18 Holes
The Castro Marin golf course resort is made up of three 9-hole courses rather than the typical 18 holes. The course has 9 holes at the Atlantic, 9 holes at the Grouse and 9 holes at the Guadiana. What this means is that you don't have to play a full 18 holes if you don't have the time, if you have to get to another appointment, or else are you don't have the energy to play a full round. Instead, you can do a quick nine holes and be finished and get home for lunch. Or, if you want, you can get finished be off the golf course and enjoying yourself at a health spa.
Good For Your Game And Your Heart
The Castro Marim Course has many undulating slopes so, at the very least, you get a good cardio workout walking up and down those hills all day (if you choose not to use a golf cart). Golf-wise, you will have lots of very interesting lies: downhill lies, side-hill lies and every type of lie you can think of.
Enjoy Nature & Views
You will see lots of wildlife around the three mini-courses - birds, rabbits to name a few. But don't worry; they will not disturb you during your round. What many golfers report after playing the Castro Marin Golf course is the stunning views. You'll get the best view of these from the elevated tee boxes, from where you see for miles and miles. Many the holes on the course are tree-lined, so make sure that your drives are straight and that you bring your best game from the tee that day, otherwise you'll be playing out of the pine trees all day long.
There are some water hazards on the course and many different types of bunkers to catch stray shots. Again, accuracy is the name of the game. The courses are have many dogleg holes carved into the canyon, so you need to know how to work the ball right-to-left or left-to-right depending on how the holes bends. So make sure your practice your draws and fades before you come. Whether you choose to play 9 holes and relax for the rest of the day, or play the full 27 holes, the scenery, fresh coastal air and the variety of golf challenges will ensure that the Castro Marin Course is one you’ll never forget.
